ATL Hawks +1.0BKN Nets @ ATL Hawks
When the season started, not many would have predicted that the Atlanta Hawks and the Brooklyn Nets would have the same exact record in April, but they do, and they face each other in a huge game with Eastern Conference seeding on the line. The Hawks have won and covered in 4 games in a row and Trae Young is scorching hot, averaging 30 points and 11 assists over his last 10 games. The Nets’ offense continues to score at a torrid pace, averaging 120 points per game over their last 10 outings. The winner of this game at worst will be tied with Charlotte for the #8 seed with 4 games left in the regular season. The Nets won the teams’ previous 2 regular-season meetings.
The Hawks are definitely the hotter team right now and seem to be clicking on all cylinders. The Nets just came off an emotional overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks and have to respond. This line opened at Brooklyn -2.5 and has been quickly bet down. The Hawks are 25-14 straight up at home this season and 21-18 against the spread. Brooklyn has been solid against the number on the road all season (22-16-1) because Kyrie Irving has been available for almost all the road games. It’s really tough to trust the Nets and Atlanta has got hot at the right time.

MIA Heat -2.0MIA Heat @ CHI Bulls
The Bulls made a miraculous double-digit comeback at home against the Clippers two nights ago, securing the win behind DeMar DeRozan’s 50-point performance. However, Chicago has still had notable struggles against quality teams this season, and that might be a problem in Saturday’s matchup as the Miami Heat come to town eyeing the #1 seed in the playoffs.
The story of the Bulls this season has been the MVP-caliber play from DeRozan, who is putting up career numbers in his first season in Chicago. Although they have several other dangerous scorers, such as Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, DeRozan remains the focal point of this Bulls team and has been the most consistent option. However, that has also hurt Chicago against quality teams that have the ability to shut down or at least limit DeRozan’s output and force other players to step up. The Heat are certainly one of those quality teams — arguably the top team in the conference — and they are dangerous on both ends of the floor. The Heat post the 4th-best defensive rating in the league and the 12th-best offensive rating, which has been done with major injuries throughout the year, as well. The Heat should be at full strength for this game and with a healthy lineup they are the far more well-rounded team in this game and should be able to handle Chicago on both ends of the floor. Look for the Heat to grab the road win.

UTA Jazz -2.0UTA Jazz @ GS Warriors
The Golden State Warriors (48-29) will host the Utah Jazz (46-31) following their 107-103 home loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. The Warriors enter tonight’s game on a 4-game losing streak, which is only their 2nd time losing 4 consecutive games this season, and they have lost 7 of their last 10. Despite their recent skid, the Warriors are still the #3 seed in the Western Conference, though the Mavericks, Jazz, and Nuggets are now all within just 3 games. Jordan Poole has led the Warriors in scoring in 7 of their last 8 games and is averaging 28.3 points, 5.4 assists and, 4.6 rebounds while shooting better than 40% both from both the field and from 3-point range in that stretch. Golden State ranks 16th in offensive efficiency and 2nd in defensive efficiency,
The visiting Jazz are coming off a 122-109 home win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. The Jazz were able to snap a 5-game losing streak, but have still lost 6 of their last 10 games. With 5 games remaining in their schedule and 3 of those against the top 3 teams in the Western Conference, the Jazz will be motivated to take care of business on the road against a Warriors team that will be without Stephen Curry due to a left foot sprain. Donovan Mitchell has led the team in scoring in 6 of their last 7 games and is averaging 29 points, 4.9 assists and, 4 rebounds in that span. Utah leads the NBA in offensive efficiency and ranks 12th in defensive efficiency. The Warriors are 2-1 against the Jazz this season, but the Jazz defeated the Warriors by 26 points in their most recent meeting. In their final 4 games of the regular season, the Warriors will be playing against the 9th to 12th seeds of the Western Conference while the Jazz will be much more incentivized to win. Take Utah to cover tonight’s spread on the road.

CHA Hornets +5.5CHA Hornets @ PHI 76ers
The Hornets find themselves in a 3-way tie for the 8th seed in the East and tonight’s game is a big one considering the other teams with the same record as theirs are playing each other. They’ve hit a decent run of form, winning 8 of their last 10 games and scoring a ton of points during that stretch. They are also getting Gordon Hayward back after a long layoff with an ankle injury. This team is on a 5-0 ATS streak in road games and for the season they are 22-15-1 ATS away from home, which is one of the best marks in the East.
Philadelphia has been in a slump lately, losing 3 in a row, but the latest loss at Detroit was a stinger as the 76ers led by as many as 8 points, but just couldn’t put the Pistons away. Joel Embiid had a solid 37-point night, while James Harden once again disappointed with a 4-for-15 effort from the field. One more concerning stat for Doc Rivers is the Sixers’ bench was outscored 39-8, which is alarming as we are 2 weeks away from the postseason. Philly has a solid home record against Charlotte though, winning 8 of the last 9 games, however they lost the last meeting 109-98. I’m finding it harder and harder to trust the Sixers, and the loss at Detroit wasn’t a good look. They lead the season series 2-1, but their wins were by 3 and 4 points. Take Charlotte and the extra points.

CLE Cavaliers WinCLE Cavaliers @ NY Knicks
The New York Knicks (34-43) will host the Cleveland Cavaliers (42-35) following their 125-114 home loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Though the Knicks have won 6 of their last 10 games, they failed to make a late-season push to make the Play-In Tournament after a 1-9 record in February. RJ Barrett has led the team in scoring in 5 of their last 7 games and is averaging 25.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in that span. Barrett will have to continue to play at a high level with Julius Randle, Cam Reddish, and Quenton Grimes all sidelined with injuries. New York ranks within the bottom-10 teams in both offensive and defensive efficiency.
The visiting Cavaliers are coming off a 131-107 road loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday. The Cavaliers enter tonight’s game on a 2-game losing streak and have lost 6 of their last 10 games. Unlike the Knicks, the Cavaliers will likely break their 4-year playoff drought, and have the incentive to win out the remainder of the season in order to improve their postseason seeding or at the very least maintain their current #7 seed. Although the Cavaliers are motivated to win, they will have to find a way to do so without Jarrett Allen and Isaiah Mobley, who are sidelined with injuries. Cleveland ranks 20th in both offensive and defensive efficiency. The Cavaliers are 2-0 against the Knicks this season and have won those games by an average margin of 9.5 points. Cleveland also has one of the toughest remaining schedules in the league as they have yet to play Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Milwaukee to finish the season. Take the Cavaliers to win on the road in MSG.
