WAS Wizards +4ATL Hawks @ WAS Wizards The Hawks will play their 3rd game in 4 days after upsetting the Bulls in Atlanta last night. The Hawks have been without John Collins since mid-February and their offense hasn’t been the same without him. Atlanta has only been able to win one game in which Trae Young didn’t score at least 39 points since Collins went down. When Young does go off, the rest of the offense follows and the Hawks can score at will. Washington is right behind Atlanta in the Eastern Conference standings for that 10th and final playoff spot, trailing by 1.5 games. The teams split the first two meetings, with each winning on their home floor.
Atlanta has been bad on the road this year, going 11-19 SU and 10-20 ATS. The Hawks are also 3-6 SU and ATS on back-to-backs this season. While Young isn’t on the injury report yet, he was questionable for last night’s game with an ankle injury and obviously still played, so wait to see what his status is for Friday. The Wizards’ offense ranks 21st in the NBA in points per game, but 8th in shooting percentage at 46.6%. This feels like a letdown spot for Atlanta. The back-to-back won’t help and favorites on the road on a back-to-back against a team on 2 days rest are covering at just 35% this season. I’m going back the Wizards against a short number with a little on the money line, as well.

PHI 76ers -7.5CLE Cavaliers @ PHI 76ers Cleveland has come out of the all-star break flat and last night suffered a 3rd loss in 4 games, but what’s concerning is that they got blown out by 21 points at home by a Charlotte Hornets squad that is 6 games behind them in the standings. Prior to this poor run, the Cavs were the best team against the spread in the NBA this season, but they’ve now failed to cover in 6 games in a row. They face a Sixers team that has already beaten them once this season by 10 points. In head-to-head meetings they have only 3 wins in the last 10 games and on the road over the last 5 games they are just 1-4 SU.Led by newly acquired James Harden, the 76ers are now 3-0 since the break and have won their last 4 games. Even though 2 of those wins were against the Knicks, optimism in Philadelphia is at a season-high with the duo of Harden and Joel Embiid clicking well together. The big man is getting his 30 points per game, while the Beard is averaging 27.3 points and 12.3 assists per game. Tyrese Maxey has also elevated his level of play since the trade by scoring over 20 points in 3 straight games. Philly has now jumped up to 2nd place in the East and they look like a team that could do some damage in the postseason.
Philadelphia won the first meeting of the season at home by 10 points and the Cavs were healthy in that game. Without Rondo, LeVert and Sexton here I believe they’ll have a lot more problems with the Sixers than in that first game. I’m taking the red-hot Sixers to cover here.

DET Pistons WinIND Pacers @ DET Pistons The Detroit Pistons were able to pull off an impressive 108-106 win on the road against the Toronto Raptors last night. Now returning home, they will get the chance to extend their good run of form against the Indiana Pacers. The hosts have managed to win 4 of their last 6 games, with impressive wins over the Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers. They have been respectable in back-to-back situations too, with a 4-7 record. The Pacers, on the other hand, have had issues putting together solid performances, having not won 2 games in a row since January 21. They have been abysmal on the road too, tied for the fewest wins on their travels in the NBA.
Matchup-wise, the Pistons will have an advantage at center and on the wings. Wendell Carter Jr. was able to dominate the Pacers on the boards in their last 2 games and Isaiah Stewart is capable of following in his footsteps. On the wing, the combination of Oshae Brissett and Buddy Hield will have trouble dealing with Cade Cunningham and Jerami Grant. The latter has scored 26 points in 3 straight games and has the physical attributes to be a tough guard for the likes of Hield. In the backcourt, an experienced guard like Cory Joseph should be able to keep Tyrese Haliburton in check. Back the Pistons to pull off a home win tonight.

MIL Bucks -3MIL Bucks @ CHI Bulls I don’t know about you, but I always had the feeling the Milwaukee Bucks were on cruise control the first part of the season and now after the all-star break they have just kicked it up a notch. They have won 2 of 3 since then and on Wednesday they outscored the Miami Heat 21-6 down the stretch to win 120-119. The big 3 combined to score 79 points and it was Jrue Holiday who came up clutch and scored with 1.5 seconds left. Now the Bucks face a Chicago Bulls team that they have beaten 13 times in the last 14 meetings. At the United Center they are 9-1 ATS over their last 10 visits.
After defeating Atlanta last week, the Bulls have cooled off a bit since the break having lost 3 in a row. They played the Hawks again last night and lost 130-124, but what’s more concerning for Chicago fans is the fact that DeMar DeRozan has played 2 games in a row scoring just 18 and 22 points — which is very modest for a player who averaged 34.2 points per game in February. He will look to make amends against the Bucks tonight; earlier in the season he dropped 35 points on them. If they want to get a win, the Bulls will need big efforts from both DeRozan and Zach LaVine.
Milwaukee isn’t messing around anymore; the comeback against Miami showed it still has a championship mentality intact and I’m expecting a big surge from this squad toward the end of the regular season. Given their dominant record in head-to-head meetings, I think the Bucks will sort out the Bulls on the road.

26 February German Bundesliga Betting Tips

MIN Timberwolves -9.5MIN Timberwolves @ OKC Thunder The Minnesota Timberwolves are coming into this game off a dominant 15-point win over the Golden State Warriors. Karl-Anthony Towns was sensational in that game, dropping 39 points and helping his team to its second straight win. The Timberwolves will be confident they can make it 3 in a row against an Oklahoma City Thunder squad that has lost 7 of their last 10 games. The Thunder have also had issues at home. Their 9 home wins are tied for the 3rd-fewest in the league. Their last two games in Oklahoma City against the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings resulted in 20 and 21-point losses, respectively.
The size of the Timberwolves frontline is what should cause the Thunder the most issues tonight. Due to several injuries for the home team, it could be left with Isiah Roby and Olivier Sarr at center. With his size, experience, and offensive arsenal, Towns should be able to dominate that pair. Over the last 10 games the Thunder are also only 29th in offensive rating. With Josh Giddey and Luguentz Dort likely to miss tonight’s game, they will likely struggle to turn their fortunes around on that end of the court. Patrick Beverley has the ability to make things tough for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the perimeter, too. With their advantage on the inside considered, the visitors should be able to pull off a double-digit win.

UTA Jazz -3.5UTA Jazz @ NO Pelicans Despite a meltdown late in the game, the Utah Jazz were able to take care of business against the Houston Rockets 132-127 after OT, and now they’ve won 3 in a row and 9 of their last 10 games. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 37 points and 10 assists in the victory, and he has been on a sensational run ever since returning from his head injury a few weeks ago. One thing that’s bothering me with the Jazz all season long is that they don’t share the ball as much as they should be. They rank only 27th in assists per game, which is far too low for a team that wants to contend in the loaded West. Against tonight’s opponent, they’ve covered the spread in 5 of the last 7 games and in the last 20 meetings they have 15 wins.
Those streaks will be tested though as the Pelicans have been on a decent run themselves, winning 8 of 12 games and covering the spread in 9 of their last 13. Nobody is even mentioning the 1-12 start they got off to when the season started and this team has looked good against Western Conference opponents, going 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games. Acquiring C.J. McCollum was a good move — in 6 games he’s leading the team in scoring with 26.6 points per game. Home form has been an issue though, as they are just 3-6 ATS in their last 9 at the Smoothie King Center and against the Jazz they’ve won just twice in 11 games there.
Utah leads the season series 2-1 and they’ve won the last 2 meetings by 22 and 11 points. With a 17-12 SU record on the road this season I have to give them the benefit of the doubt here. I’m backing them to cover against a Pelicans team that’s only 14-32 as underdogs this season. Take the Jazz.
